Introduction
Our exercise and therapy sessions, in the volunteer run allotment, take place in the spring.
We invite our participants to help plan our allotment by planting and growing vegetables in the hand made raised beds.
In addition we invite participants to share the tending to our herb garden, swap growing tips, build allotment sculptures and enjoy the enjoyment of healthy eating and exercise.
As the vegetable grow we harvest them and share make salads and soup on site. This entails learning about pickling vegetables, jam making and making cordials.
We had a wonder harvest last summer. Our group made a super tasty raspberry cordial and enjoyed an amazing workshop on apple cider making. We also learnt about building frames to help our beans to grow. In addition, we made tasty stir fry’s and salads on site and through the actions of collecting water, digging new beds for planting and building shelters to protect us from the sun and rain allowed us to get considerably fitter.
There’s nothing like the team spirit to achieve goals to give one a real sense of support and belonging.
Testimonials

"Structures my day. Helps me get out of bed.", Chris.
